To compose is to read what the building offers and what someone will make of it, then hold every choice to one intention, from interior architecture to the last fitting. The Room, Before The Room
At the start there's nothing. Bare walls, dust in the light. A place that hasn't decided yet.
Not an image. Not a mood board. A room already lived in, a hand running along stone without thinking.
The building speaks first. A structure insists. Light decides. Proportions have waited decades for someone to look. Most projects dress them up. We listen.
Then the client. What time they come home, what Sunday morning looks like, and what they never thought to ask for.
The room is seen finished, through all five senses, before a single plan is drawn.
One gesture, carried through
One intuition holds the whole. A ratio, an axis, a material that returns, from the first room to the last.
Everything after is measure. Shift a doorway eight centimetres and the way someone enters their home changes for twenty years.
That's why no two projects look alike, yet each is recognizable. Cousins, never twins.
An order of decisions holds them together, the same every time: how someone lives first, interior architecture second, finishes and furniture last — the only layer still free to move.
The signature isn't in the vocabulary. It's in the syntax.

MADAME BOVARY LAVAL
Madame Bovary in Laval is designed around a highly strategic spatial layout that defines distinct zones for dining, groups and different uses. Each section offers its own level of intimacy and atmosphere, allowing the restaurant to adapt throughout the evening and create a different experience from one visit, function or gathering to the next.
How it holds up
Vision without buildability is a drawing. We work the other way.
Structural and mechanical engineers come in at conception, read alongside light and proportion. Never as constraints disguised afterward. It's the one point we don't bend on, because a constraint that arrives late takes its revenge on site.
We test the composition with the people who will build it. Then the client walks through the space in virtual reality, before a single wall is touched. They look, they hesitate, they ask. We listen again.
Each trade receives its own score. Every note is played.
Interior design is the muscle. The bone belongs to architects and engineers.
What the client leaves with is a place, and an eye. We don't ask to be trusted. We show why a proportion holds, why that wall stays, and why that's good news. Clients finish a project better decision-makers than they started it.
