CAREERS+ COLLABORATIONS
HOW YOU COULD CONTRIBUTE
The areas below describe responsibilities more than fixed titles. We value experienced people who bring strong expertise, understand how their work connects to the larger project, and are motivated to contribute, share and grow through the work.
Our studio is based in Saint-Henri, Montréal, and we prioritize in-person collaboration, direct exchange and the energy that comes from working together around the same projects.
We generally prioritize 5+ years of experience, bilingual communication, strong judgment, confidence with AI tools, collaboration, and the ability to move comfortably across disciplines and deadlines.
We value different perspectives, backgrounds and ways of thinking. Our studio is inclusive and welcoming to LGBTQ+ people, and we expect the same openness, respect and consideration from everyone we work with.
The overlap — architecture + design + construction experience — is often where the value is.

If your expertise does not fit neatly within the areas above, that does not mean there is no place for it.
We are interested in anything you can bring that helps create a better project — a different perspective, a specialized skill, local knowledge, a technical advantage, a stronger process, or an approach we have not considered yet.
If you believe your contribution could make the work better, we invite you to connect.
WHERE COULD YOUR EXPERTISE TAKE US NEXT?
You may not be looking.
Neither are we simply looking to fill positions.
Chrome Design grows when new expertise changes what the studio can see, solve, compose or take on. Experience matters, but what interests us most is what your presence changes in the work.
Your approach.
The questions you ask.
What you notice.
What you bring that was not there before.
We are looking for people who can contribute to our method — and help evolve it.
A METHOD BEFORE A TITLE.
At Chrome, design is not divided into isolated disciplines.
An idea is drawn, modelled, questioned, coordinated, detailed, specified and built. Every decision affects another.
Everyone involved in a project is expected to see, solve, compose and orchestrate — differently, according to their expertise.
SEE what others may have missed.
SOLVE what stands between an intention and its realization.
COMPOSE relationships between space, material, light, objects and systems.
ORCHESTRATE decisions so the project remains coherent from idea to construction.
These are not positions.
They are ways of thinking.
THE STUDIO + THE NETWORK.
Chrome Design remains intentionally concentrated in Montréal, while the teams around our projects can extend much further.
As our work expands internationally, we want to build relationships with collaborators, specialized studios, architects, designers, consultants, makers and local experts who bring something specific to the work.
Some relationships may become long-term. Others may belong to one project, one city or one particular phase.
What matters is that the right people are involved early enough for their perspective to influence what the project becomes.
DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVES MAKE DIFFERENT PROJECTS.
International work requires context: different ways of building, different materials, local knowledge, technical expertise and different perspectives.
We are not looking to reproduce Chrome Design somewhere else.
We want collaborations that make the work something it could not have become through one voice alone.
CONTRIBUTION MATTERS.
We present selected projects to publications, international awards and design juries.
Recognition is not why the work is created, but when it comes, the people who meaningfully shaped that work should be part of its story — through their contribution, their credit and the opportunities that may follow.
If the work leads somewhere larger, we want the people who helped shape it to have a place in that journey.
THERE'S A PLACE FOR YOUR EXPERTISE.
Some of the areas we are currently looking to strengthen are described below.
A title only tells us part of what someone can bring.
If you see a place for your expertise in the way we work — even if the exact position does not yet exist — we want to hear from you.
